After serving as an intern at Anders for a year, Kaleb developed experience researching state and local tax laws, registering clients with states to begin paying applicable taxes and reviewing client records to identify overpaid sales tax that’s eligible for a refund. As a senior on the SALT team, Kaleb stays current on constantly changing state tax laws, particularly looking out for any changes that may affect clients. He’s also responsible for filing monthly sales tax returns, registering clients with states where they need to pay tax and assisting with reverse audits. Kaleb also completes nexus reviews by researching state tax laws and interpreting them for clients to verify whether their products or services are liable for any tax.
