Long ago, accounting firms were built and run on established, long-lasting books of business. But today’s modern, mobile culture doesn’t work that way. Business development has become an integral part of our culture, and our young associates learn this right away. By introducing our next generation of leaders to this important part of modern business, we’re laying the foundation for their success – and ours.
As a member of the Young Professionals Group, you’ll have multiple opportunities to network with other young people in St. Louis and throughout the industry. We’re also part of the Young Professionals Special Interest Group of the Leading Edge Alliance, a global network of accounting firms like ours.
The goals of the group are simple, yet far-reaching. They include:
- Increasing our firm’s networking and relationship-building skills
- Bringing new associates together with social and educational opportunities
- Building camaraderie among young professionals in our own firm and with our clients and referral sources
- Creating opportunities to blend personal and professional lives and interests
In addition to being a tremendous career-building resource, the Anders Young Professionals Group offers a chance for our employees to make a difference in the community. The group supports the Anders Charity of Choice in addition to a wide range of other philanthropic efforts. In years past, the group has networked with other young professionals in St. Louis to volunteer for Fair St. Louis and a number of other events.
