Anders was named as a finalist for the 2024 Corporate Philanthropy & Innovation in Philanthropy Awards in the Midsize Company category by the St. Louis Business Journal. This is the fifth year in which local partnerships are recognized for going above and beyond standard philanthropic practices in new and creative ways.
Companies are recognized based on those who gave the most in charitable contributions last year based on total cash and in-kind giving. At Anders, generosity is ingrained in everything we do. In 2023, Anders employees were active members in over 170 local organizations and supported 320 not-for-profits financially and through volunteer opportunities. Anders proudly donated over $395,000 to the groups our staff care about the most.
Recognizing the Anders Charity of Choice Program
Anders delivers on our core value of generosity through our Charity of Choice program, which combines fundraising activities and volunteer efforts to support one local charity each year. In 2023, the firm selected and supported Missouri Veterans Endeavor (MOVE-STL), raising a total of $33,510 for the organization which provides a community for Veterans experiencing homelessness, supplying them and their families with a secure and sober environment. Overall, the Charity of Choice program has raised more than $373,000 in the past 18 years.
For our 2024 Charity of Choice, Anders selected Memory Care Home Solutions (MCHS). MCHS provides support to people living with dementia and their care partners to help improve and extend quality time at home for all who require services. To support this organization, Anders will hold several fundraising events, including our 35th annual Hoops for Hope Tournament, a March Madness bracket tournament. Other events planned for this year include busy season games, a shuffleboard tournament and a Christmas in July donation drive.
