The Tax Season Clock is Ticking

As the April 18 tax deadline draws near, it’s crunch time for many in finishing up those last minute tax preparations. Aside from providing your accountant with a pile of tax documents, here are a few things you need to know and prepare for this tax filing season.

IRS Scams – This season, phone and email scams have become more prevalent, and more believable. It is important to keep in mind several things the IRS will never do, like ask for immediate payment over the phone, or email you to verify your identity. Missouri Tax Relief – Due to extreme flooding in late 2015, certain Missouri counties, including St. Louis and St. Charles counties, have been given an extension of time to file their tax returns and pay any taxes due.
