Luke Luckett Named to St. Louis Business Journal’s 30 Under 30
Anders tax manager and youngest known Certified Exit Planning Advisor in the country Lucas A. Luckett, CPA/PFS, CEPA has been named a 2017 30 Under 30 by the St. Louis Business Journal.
Luke was selected by a panel of former 30 Under 30 winners from a pool of nearly 250 nominations. A special section of the St. Louis Business Journal featuring the other honorees will be published in the July 7th edition of the newspaper. An awards dinner honoring the winners will be held on July 13th.
Luke is one of five CEPA’s at Anders; making the firm the largest concentration of these business strategy experts in any CPA firm. With CPA/PFS and CEPA behind his name, he is also vying for the most designations by a young professional at Anders. Luke serves as a manager in the Anders Tax Services group, working with clients in the Family Wealth and Estate Planning group. As a CPA and PFS (Personal Financial Specialist), he enjoys helping clients plan for life after exiting their business by maximizing the value of their company and creating personal financial plans. He also brings a wide variety of tax and family wealth experience to his clients, specializing in individual and corporate tax planning, estate planning, exit planning, and stock option planning.
In addition to his technical expertise, Luke is also developing a business development prowess for both the firm and affiliate Claris Advisors. Scott Iverson of Claris describes him as “extremely reliable and a team player who is interested in growing professionals in all aspects of the business.” That attitude has also helped move up the ranks at a pace more rapid than most. He joined Anders as a first year associate in 2010, promoted to senior in 2012, to supervisor in 2015 and to manager just one year later in 2016.
Luke has also moved up the ranks of the Anders Young Professionals Group, serving as secretary to vice chair to now chair of the group’s Steering Committee. He is a strategic thinker, able to take ideas and input from the Young Professionals and put plans into action. With Luke’s help, the Steering Committee has planned networking and educational events for young professionals of the firm and external connections, including an annual putt-putt golf tournament, drawing 112 participants last year.
Outside of Anders, he is making his mark as Co-Chair of the St. Louis Chapter of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and a member of the Professional Learning & Networking Task Force, Professional Outreach Task Force and Community Outreach Task Force. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council and a Board Member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals.
