Dave Finklang Named MSCPA Outstanding Young Professional

Outstanding Young Professional - St Louis CPADave M. Finklang, CPA/CGMA/MBA, supervisor in the Tax Services group at Anders CPAs + Advisors (Anders) has been named the Outstanding Young Professional for 2013 from the Missouri Society of Public Accountants (MSCPA). The award honors CPAs under the age of 35 who are viewed as emerging leaders within the profession and who are active in the community as well as professional organizations.

Finklang, 29, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology from the University of Central Missouri Honors College, and a Masters degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from Webster University in St. Louis, MO. He specializes in tax planning and advisory services, and works with manufacturing, distribution, real estate and start-up companies.

Aside from his professional achievements, Finklang is heavily involved in the community. He is the Director of the Testicular Cancer Society and serves as a member of the University of Central Missouri’s School of Accountacy’s Advisory Board. He is also a volunteer with Imerman Angels as a cancer mentor, and a member of Friends of Arch Grants.  Finklang was named to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) 2013 Leadership Academy Class. As a member of the MSCPA St. Louis Chapter, Finklang is involved in the Young Professionals Network, and is a Co-Chair on the Tax and Other Emerging Issues Task Force. Additionally, he is a member of the MSCPA’s Taxation Committee, is part of their 2013/2014 Strategic Planning Team, and is a mentor for their student mentoring program
