Berger to be Named Partner at Anders
Anders is proud to announce that Robert L. Berger, CPA/CGMA, is being named a partner of the firm, effective January 2016. Berger joined Anders in 2001 as an intern, and most recently served as a Principal in the Tax Services Group.
Berger is Director of the firm’s Real Estate and Construction Group and has been integral in developing Anders’ industry expertise, business plan and growth strategy. He consults with clients, providing guidance on cost segregation analyses, like-kind exchanges and repair regulations. Berger also works with closely held business owners on individual and corporate tax consulting and retirement planning. In 2012, he was selected as one of only 36 young CPAs from across the country to participate in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Leadership Academy.
Berger holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Missouri, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and has been Treasurer of the Board for the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
Berger is on the Young Leaders Board and is the Liaison to the Board of Directors for the Wyman Center. He is an MSCPA Firm Leadership Committee Member, and has served as President, Vice President and Head Trustee at St. John UCC. He has also served as a Board Member for the Collinsville Home and Community Care Center, and is a frequent author and presenter.
